Here are two of my inchie efforts for January 14th. The theme of the week is "girl." I have framed the girl in this first one with some tiny beads that I had on hand.
I was hoping to make my girl appear somewhat adventurous, with bright hair and wings to take her wherever her dreams suggest.
This pebble mosaic at the Fell Street lookout in North Vancouver was my inspiration. It would be my dream to create something this lovely in inchie form.
To see other interpretations of "girl" in inchie form, check out the Every Inchie Monday blog. You can also click on the Flickr logo at the side of the page to see all of the inchies. Thanks so much for stopping by!
That mosaic in inchie form would be a challenge! But I think you've done really well. You've done much more detail than I did. Well done on them both.
ReplyDeleteLovely inchies, I love how youv'ed framed the girl with the beads.
ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
still amazing you can put all that into an inch. i do like that mosaic.
ReplyDeleteCarol, your inchies are every bit as good as the mosaic! These must be challenging to do considering the size.....but I guess that is the point.
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight it must have been to find the mosaic on a street in North Vancouver … I might have missed that, although I am drawn to circles. The little girl with wings seems to definitely represent the adventurous spirit in life and in art and this comes through beautifully in both your drawings, Carol.
